Residential Visits
Due to the current situation and government guidelines regarding Covid 19 we have been unable to plan or book any residential visits for the current academic year 2020/21. We will monitor the situation closely and be in touch with the appropriate year groups if the situation changes.
Here at Buckden we value residential visits and what they do to enhance our curriculum. Therefore, we have a visit to the Norfolk coastline and look at rivers and erosion in year 4 alongside a plethora of outdoor activities.
In year 6 we visit Normandy for an opportunity to use our language skills. We visit the World War 1 battlefields and learn all about this remarkable historical event and the devastation it caused. We also get to visit local industry in the form of a chocolate factory, a cider farm and a working farm who make their own goats cheese. We also get to visit the historical town of Rouen and find our all about the cathedral and Joan of Arc. We finish this busy day with a bit of shopping which is enjoyed by all.
