AI Awareness Day AI is already woven into young people's everyday lives from the apps they use to the videos they watch, the games they play, and the tools they interact with. As technology continues to evolve, understanding how AI works, how to question it, and how to use it responsibly is becoming just as important as using it confidently. AI Awareness Day is a nationwide initiative designed to help schools build AI literacy in a simple, engaging and ageappropriate way. Through handson activities, discussions and curiositydriven tasks, the aim is to help children develop the critical thinking skills they need to navigate an increasingly digital world. Thursday marked the nation's very first AI Awareness Day, Thursday 4 June 2026. Across the country, schools took part in activities that encouraged pupils to explore what AI is, how it affects their daily lives, and how to approach new technologies with both excitement and caution. It's an important step in helping young people feel informed, empowered and safe as they grow up in a world where AI is becoming more and more present.

Why does Census Day matter? We strongly encourage every child to enjoy a school dinner on this day. A significant portion of our school funding for the year is based on how many children have a school meal on Census Day. This funding helps us maintain high-quality resources and continue providing the best possible education for your children. Even if your child usually brings a packed lunch, please consider booking a school meal for Census Day it really makes a difference!

Sports Day – Save the Date! Sports Day is on Friday 26th June pop it in your diary! Lower School: 9:00am Upper School: 1:00pm If you have children in both key stages, please leave after the morning session and return for the afternoon. We're excited for a fantastic day of fun and teamwork!

A huge thank you to all families and staff who came to our "Make a Difference Day" today. It is so special to have people give up their time to help us improve the school environment

Make A Difference Day We had a fabulous event last year where we made a significant improvement to our children's environment with the help of some amazing volunteers and the support of a fabulous PTA – If you would like to be involved this year please Save the Date – Saturday 18th April and drop Mrs Heather mheather@bpa.act-academytrust.org letting her know your skills you are able to offer and whether you are able to offer a morning an afternoon or a full-day.
