Talk Homework: Talk to your grown ups about free standing structures and identify some around your house.

Reading: Please make sure you are logging ALL reading on Boom reader as we will check this daily.

Spellings: Your spelling test is on a monday, this week they have the following spellings.

Phonics: This week the children have been introduced to the 'ay' sound. We cover a sound a week in our phonics scheme which builds the children's segmenting and blending skills. We have been consolidating their previous EYFS phonics knowledge too.

The children have worked so hard this week. We have been enjoyed our shared reader 'On the Train to Troon' which your child received a copy of to read at home too. 

In Science this week, we had a look at baby photos and seeing how we have changed since we were young. The children thoroughly enjoyed guessing who the baby was in the pictures.

In PE this week we have been enjoyed gymnastics in our indoor sessions where we have learnt how to do a log roll and a teddy bear roll. In our outdoor PE session we have been practising our throwing and catching.

In Maths this week we have been practising counting on from any number, the children have worked really hard. Towards the end of the week we have been practising counting backwards from 10. Any practise at home will really help the children.

Franklin and Mozart class have worked very hard this week, we wish you a restful weekend and look forward to seeing you all on Monday.
