Talk Homework- We had a farmer visit this week and we're looking forward to the fire brigade visiting next week. Talk about other community superheroes.
Reading at least 3 times per week and recording on Boom reader.
We have read the story 'Goal' this week and had a giggle when Alma the dog was the only one to score a goal. You can read this at home together via the Success for All phonics web page. The digraph taught has been 'ar'.
In maths, we have learnt all about the numbers 8, 9 and 10. We sequenced digits and asked, Which is more? How many more?
Our superhero dance has started to take shape. You will receive and invitation to their performance very soon.
The children loved drawing self portraits in preparation for our Sky Arts competition drawing next week.
For Science, the children have been exploring bubbles. It started small with bubble wands and pipe cleaners but quickly progressed to the children using hoops and tennis racquets to make bigger and better bubbles.
Our super hero costumes have started to be produced, belts, masks and cuffs have been created this week. Next week we will be onto capes. If you haven't sent in a plain white t shirt for this yet then please make sure it is with us by next Friday.
