In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 17th January

Please complete the tasks set for you on SATs Companion by Tuesday.  Make sure you know our spelling words for this week and are ready for our quiz on Monday.  This week's words are:  produce, impact, transport, object, contest, subject, silence, increase, freeze, permit.

Remember to read every day and record your reading in your reading diary.  These will be checked on Monday.

Make sure you watch Newsround over the weekend and be ready to write about a news story that has interested you.

Parents:  A growing number of children are coming to school without a pencil or blue ink pen.  We do not have supplies of these in school to give out.  Please ensure you talk with your child over the weekend to ensure they have the equipment they need in order to write.  Thank you for your support.

Lucas:  In Science this week we did an experiment to find out the best conditions for growing yeast.  We had to ensure our test was fair and we discovered that hot water and sugar enabled the most yeast to grow.

Arya:  I enjoyed writing poems in English this week to describe the characteristics of the cat.  We have looked at poems written by Rudyard Kipling and tried to write our own in a similar style.

Annie:  In Maths this week we have learnt about Ratio and I found it really fun.
