Reading every day please?
On Wednesday we had an R.E. day. We learnt about how health is important for us and our Global Neighbours. First, we read some Bible passages linking spirituality and healing. Mark 1:40-45-Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy. We discussed what was happening in the passage and how in the Bible Jesus healed many people as God would want him too. Jesus is kind to all and would heal somebody if they were poorly even if they had done something wrong. Then we considered how we can learn from this and how we can look after own health, our school's health, and World health. We then discussed the difference between mental and physical health and what we can do to keep ourselves healthy.
In English, we have continued to read Why the Whales Came, and we read about The Birdman's cottage and what it looked like on the outside as well as the inside. We interpreted the text and drew a picture of what we imagined it would be like. We were very excited to read on to when Gracie and Daniel met The Birdman for the first time.
In Science, we extended our knowledge of skeletons to learn that there are three different types: hydroskeleton, endoskeleton and exoskeleton. We are very excited to see what type of skeletons the animals in the Sea Life Centre will have next week.
In P.E. we have extended our dancing to include oppositional, parallel and coordinated arm lines.
Above is a picture of our Year 3 tuck shop helpers at our lower school disco. Well done girls!!
We have also been showing our resilience and determination to do our very best in a maths and reading quiz too!
Have a great weekend
