The children have done really well in their maths this week where we have been looking at place value. They are beginning to understand how many tens and ones are in numbers up to 20.
In English we have been carrying on looking at poems and the children have performed these in groups. It was lovely to see everyone being so supportive of their peers. They have also been looking at descriptive language and then used this to help write a class poem about fire.
Today, we looked at the Chinese Moon festival and the children produced some fantastic pieces of art. They designed their own moon cakes, made a paper lantern and created a picture of the night sky full of lanterns.
Wednesday 4th December is Christmas jumper day and children can wear a Christmas jumper over their school uniform. We will also be making a Christmas hat on Wednesday to wear during the Christmas lunch and we would greatly appreciate it if children could bring in cereal boxes for this.
