Happy New Year!

We have had a very productive three days back in school. We started our new book in English 'Why the Whales came' by Michael Morpurgo. The children are thoroughly engaged by the characters and setting and can't wait to read more of the text. In maths, we are moving on to learn how to multiply and divide and today we used arrays to visualise equal groups. We are finishing learning about magnetic force in science and have considered how magnets work to attract and repel. We also used magnetic force to move our vehicles that we made in our Skills Builder project and DT lessons at the end of last term. We discovered that magnetic force can even work through multiple layers of paper. In PSHE, we discussed when we feel safe using the internet, when we might not feel safe and what we should do if we start to feel worried or unsafe when online. In dance this afternoon, we started to put together a dance routine using kicks, jumps and turns in time to the music. It was a great way to end the week.

Have a great weekend
