In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 21st June

Please continue to read for a minimum of 20 minutes a day with 3 of these sessions reading aloud to an adult.  There are 2 Science tasks set on SATs Companion for you to complete, and you are always encouraged to chose any other practise tasks from the Maths or English section to keep your skills sharp.

In the 'Get Ahead' Transition booklet please complete the Geography tasks and bring your work into school next Wednesday to share.

Next Thursday afternoon is Enterprise - make sure you have any resources from home you will need in order to run your stall successfully.

Freya:  This week was Science week.  In Year 6 we devised our own questions to test based on 'Rocket Mice'.  We made pretend mice from paper cones and then compressed plastic bottles to fire them into the air and then measured the distance they had travelled.  We chose 1 variable to test.  My group changed the size of the bottle and we found that the larger the bottle, the further the mouse travelled.

Keira:  We linked Science and RE this week, focussing on what different religions think about caring for our natural world.  We found out that although Humanists don't believe that God created the world, they do still believe that the world is sacred, and that we should make it a priority to care for it, so it can be enjoyed by future generations.

Annabelle:  I have enjoyed planning our Enterprise stalls this week.  We got into groups and decided what type of stall we wanted to run and then planned exactly what our stall will be.
