This half term our new topic focus is 'Superheroes'. Today we had a visit from a parent to learn about her role as a police officer. The children were inspired to learn about what her job includes, the equipment she uses and how she became an officer by working hard at school.

We have created art work inspired by Italian artist Arcimboldo, using fruit and veg cut outs to create portraits. In phonics, we had a second week learning the 'igh' trigraph. This has helped to secure this more complicated sound. 

In maths, we have been learning the vocabulary of time. We learnt the days of the week, used the words today, tomorrow and yesterday and explored what a minute is as a length of time.
