Inclusion
At Buckden, we strive to educate all children, regardless of background, attainment level or special educational needs. This means that all our children, including those with additional learning needs and special educational requirements, are educated within a 'mainstream' learning environment.
We therefore make adaptations to both to the physical spaces within our school to ensure all students are able to access all resources, and to the school routines, teaching styles and classroom rules. This may mean that some of our students may need altered timetables with different start and finish times from their peers, others may need different technologies such as computers to demonstrate their learning, and others may need to be allowed to access quiet spaces, leave the classroom when overwhelmed, or require additional support from support staff or SEND specialists.
