We have had a great week this week!

The children have enjoyed reading ‘Why the Whales Came’ and we are reaching a part of the story where, “Nothing will never be the same again.” The children have enjoyed learning about the geography and history of The Scilly Isles.

We welcomed a guest speaker today to talk to us about Hinduism, our current RE topic. She was so interesting, opening the eyes of the pupils to Hindu values and beliefs. We discussed how Hindu and Christian values are similar and different, learning about karma.

During maths, we have completed lessons on common misconceptions to get them ready for their next maths assessments. They showed determination and great progress, which is a testament to their hard work.

Many Year 3 children have been growing their own flowers from seed and the seeds have started to germinate! The children are so caring and have shown great teamwork when weeding some of the raised beds.

The children continue to impress us with their hockey skills and have learnt to dribble. They put their skills into use in a game and the sport appears to be a real hit with all pupils enjoying this team sport. They were able to critique their performance during the match so that they could improve their skills for next time.
