Please ensure you are logging all reading on Boomreader. We have sent home Letterjoin logins for you all to access our online platform we use within school to help with letter formation at home. Please make sure you are doing at least numbots at least 20 minutes a week.

This week we finished reading The Jolly Christmas Postman and the children got to complete a range of different activities about the book where they demonstrated a really strong understanding of the text.

In Design and Technology the children made and evaluated their cars. They were able to use their understanding of wheels and axels to make their final product and could use their problem solving skills to overcome any challenges they encountered.

The children completed their skills builder project where they had to work in teams to collect, sort and deliver letters to the rest of the school and the children were able to develop the three skills of leadership, staying positive and listening. It was great to see the children working together and they all did a fantastic job!

Finally, in art the children produced their final piece of artwork where they used carbon paper to trace a zentangle pattern. They showed great creativity and focus with their pieces.

We would like to say a big thank you to the PTA for the gifts that you gave us, we really appreciate it. We wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year and we hope you have a lovely rest over the break!
