We started our new topic- Let's Celebrate linked to the global goals Reduced Inequality and Good Health and Well Being. We have learnt about the history of Bonfire night and acted out the Gunpowder plot with around a big bonfire we created outside. 

Today, we embraced everything Diwali and were so lucky to have a visit from Anita who wore her traditional Hindu dress and told us all about the story of Rama and Sita. We lit the classroom with diva lights and made Rangoli and Menhi hand patterns.

In phonics we have learnt the sounds h, b, f and ff as well as the first tricky red words 'I' and 'the'.

In maths, we have be learning about the properties of 2D shapes.
