Numbots and Reading at least 3 times a week.
Sports day is next Wednesday, please send your children in in their PE kits, with suncream applied, hats and water bottles. Each child will have at least 2 races. Will be lovely to see you all there.
Science week has been full of fun and experimentation. The children all got a chance to make a mouse rocket using a paper cone and empty bottles. The children made predictions about which bottle would make the mouse go furthest. Many children thought the bigger bottle would go highest because it has more air in it.
We also learnt more about bees. The children tried to recreate a hive with honeycomb using tubes in a box and pompom bees. We learnt about pollination.
Our trigraph this week was 'air' and in maths we have been halving and sharing quantities.
For our topic, we travelled to Africa this week and made some wonderful Tinga Tinga inspired paintings.
