As it is now getting hotter, please also remember to send your children in with suncream and a summer hat!

This week in English we have started looking at poems. We have explored different poetry types and their defining features. Each class experimented with writing a poem together. We also explored further the character of Lob from our source book 'Lob'.

Maths saw us finishing up our work on mass in grams and moving on to ml and litres and the differences between mass and capacity.

In Science, we explored the difference between the food groups and the seven types of nutrition food gives us. We discussed the differences between the different classifications and what each form of nutrition does for our body.

The thing all the children said they enjoyed the most this week, however, had to be our artwork. Beethoven loved experimenting with their collage and Glennie began designing their final pieces of a fairtrade poster.

Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine!
