Try to read to and with your children over half term

One of our highlights of the week was making the bug houses in DT. We worked in groups to glue the wooden frame together (harder than we thought) and then filled them with a variety of materials that we thought the bugs would like.

After finishing our book in English last week we decided to write the story again but from the wolf’s perspective. We are very proud of the stories that have been written this week and the stamina for writing that children are starting to show.

We have been looking at using subtraction to find the difference between numbers in maths this week and many have enjoyed using a number line to do this. Lennon class also finished the week with a session on Numbots, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Have a good half term and we look forward to seeing you all after a well-deserved rest.
