Talk Homework-During Collective Worship, Year 4 gave us a challenge to re-think food in our snacks and lunch boxes. We were encouraged to think about packaging and using less plastic, which goes into our bins (or becomes litter on our playground). Discuss with your child what healthy snacks/food they like and how they can bring it to school without creating any litter. We will share your child's ideas with the Year 4 classes!

Reading at least 3 times a week and record on Boom reader app. This week's shared reader text on the Success for All website was Let's Do Art for you to share at home.

We have begun our new topic of 'Down at the Bottom of the Garden'. The children have loved exploring our nature area, rolling logs and hunting for minibeasts. In our outdoor area, we have used a metal detector to search for precious gold buttons. This was linked to our RE topic of learning what is precious.

In phonics, we have learnt the digraph 'ur' with the phrase 'purple turtle'.

In maths, we have been counting to 20 and looking at how we can group, line up or order objects to make sure this counting is accurate.

During independent learning time, the children have really enjoyed playing football together. A pitch and goal have been created and great team work has been happening.

In PE, we went outside and played tag and chase games. We talked about this being the start of playing games like rugby.
