10th March 2023

Talk Homework- We had a farmer visit this week and we're looking forward to the fire brigade visiting next week. Talk about other community superheroes.

Reading at least 3 times per week and recording on Boom reader.

This week the children have drawn beautiful self portraits! We have been learning about comparison of numbers up to 10, using language like more than and less than and thinking about ordinality. In Literature, the children have written wonderful similes describing their superheroes that they have created. They used the ideas from Super Daisy to help them with their ideas. In phonics, we have learnt the digraph ar and we have read the book Goal! Bubbles were *pop*-ular in our outdoor area before the snow arrived, although the snow was equally popular. The children were trying to figure out how to make the largest bubble and enjoyed experimenting with different equipment to explore how to improve their bubble making skills. In PE, we continue to develop our superhero dance. The children are looking forward to performing their dance for their families soon. The children have been using different materials to explore our superhero topic. They've made masks and cuffs and they've used Lego to construct vehicles for their superheroes. Have a lovely weekend!
