Talk Homework- Next week in maths we will be exploring capacity and mass. Compare the mass of different objects and talk about what is heavier, what is lighter, what is equal (the same). Explore different materials such as water, rice and/or lentils and let your child pour them into different sized containers. Use the language of full, empty, half full, nearly full and nearly empty.

Reading at least 3 times a week and recording on Boom reader app. Please make sure your child has their PE kit for PE on Thursdays.

This week the children have enjoyed being scientists, using torches to investigate shadows and find out what materials make the best shadows. We've been learning about the animation artist Lotte Reiniger and her amazing shadow puppets, which she used to re-create animated fairy tales in the early 1930s. In phonics, we have been learning the digraph ai and we have read Ben Goes to Bed in guided reading, which you can access on the Parent Portal. In maths, we have been looking at number bonds to 4 and 5, using the stem sentences ___ and ___ equals 4 (or 5). We've been using the powder paints to paint the background for our shadow puppets.

Have a lovely weekend!
