It was wonderful to welcome so many parents into the Class on World Book Day to read with the Children. There was a really great atmosphere.
English
This week we have been creating our own animal riddles entitled " What am I ?"
Thinking of clues or statements that will not give away the identity of our creature until the great reveal at the end. We have enjoyed sharing these with each other .
We have also been looking at how we must use Capital Letters for nouns, especially focussing on names and places.
"In phonics Mrs Jaynes and Miss Edwards group have been looking at split diagraphs" . J.C.
"We also enjoyed playing 'Buried Treasure in phonics." M.B.
Maths
In maths this week we have been ordering and comparing numbers . Talking about how we need to look at the tens and ones when we are ordering numbers up to 50. We have used ten frames and number lines and number squares to explore the following statements:
One more than --- is ----
One less than ---- is ----
