On Thursday we used the microscopes that we have from The Royal Microscopy Society to observe a variety of seeds up close. It was incredible to hear comments such as 'I can't see anything' change into 'Wow that's awesome'. We were able to sort our seeds using more precise criteria than just size and shape as we had done previously. Who'd have known that pumpkin seeds actually look glittery under the microscope!
