What a busy first week back of the year! 

On Monday we started our new Topic for our global learning curriculum, which is 'Life on Land'. In Year 2 at the moment we are focussing on the importance of trees for life, and the impact of deforestation and desertification on our planet and for the future.

Faye has enjoyed doing our global learning, especially producing some art of trees, starting with the roots and branches and finishing with a sponging technique with paint.

Today we did a tree survey out in the school grounds. 

Mia has enjoyed our first PE lesson of this year, we are doing dance this half term.  

Libby has enjoyed our first lesson of French, and learning the numbers 1-10.

Thomas has enjoyed maths this week , where we were using grouping and sharing to help us divide numbers.

Alfie has enjoyed learning about newspapers in English. We looked at the features and then put them onto a blank newspaper template.
