Week beg 18 November

Please complete homework. Spelling sheets are due Monday and SPAG/Maths due Thursday. Any problems with the homework please speak to your teacher before Thursday.

It's been a brilliant week. Pupils have worked together to write beautiful poems about life in a coal mining town and begun learning about equivalent fractions. It's been tricky for some, but with practice I'm sure we'll get there. BBC Bitesize has useful videos for those who want to review their learning from Yr4, ahead of Yr5 units, or help with homework. Please remember to complete your TTRockstars because fluency in multiplication and division facts will help with fractions.

In PE we're continuing with Football (all weather) so please can we have winter PE kit in school.

In Science, we're continuing to explore reversible and irreversible changes. This week, we practised how to draw scientific diagrams and next week we'll be looking at irreversible changes that created innovative solutions.

In Geography, we've begun to look at how the UK's infrastructure (e.g railways and canals) developed during the Industrial Revolution were designed to support the importing/exporting of goods and the transport of supplies across the country to support industries.

The Year 5s are also excited to get going with their Lino cutting next week too, in Art.

Have a lovely weekend.
